Catherine Evans was born and brought up in Africa, living in tiny communities in the heart of the African bush. She worked in Durban, South Africa, for two years after leaving school, then decamped to the UK and worked in the City for 20 years before she published her first book. She's the author of two novels, The Wrong'un and All Grown Up. She set up Inkspot Publishing with Jurcell Virginia in 2022. Their main focus is commercial literary fiction, but they will publish their first non-fiction, The Neglected Samurai, later in 2024. She's also a trustee of the Chipping Norton Literary Festival. She lives in Oxfordshire, UK, with her husband and daughter.
